Judy Moody is nothing if not committed - when she gets a goal in her head, Judy puts 100% of herself into meeting that goal. Sometimes that means she goes a little overboard though and when saving the world is your goal, that means trouble! Judy's teacher is doing a unit on the environment and conservation and Judy is determined to do her part - whether that means releasing her brother's pet toad into the "wild" or hiding all the pencils in her classroom so that the rainforest won't be cut down.

I rate this book three stars. This book is very funny and while it is for younger kids I still enjoyed reading it again. I wasn't all that interested in it though. It starts with Judy Moody finding out that there is a contest for designing the new Crazy Strip band aid. She liked the idea that her band aid would be on the scrapes and cuts of people all over the world. When her class starts studying about the world and its environment she sets her attention on a new way to save the world. She

The story begins with a design-your-own Crazy Strips Band-aid contest but quickly becomes focused on ways in which a third grader can help save the planet. It's full of third-grade science factoids and funny situations. At one point, Judy decides to live in her tree as an act of protest, until she is cleverly lured down by her younger brother with what he says are the results of the Crazy Strips contest. Judy Moody is a very funny and cool character. Number two was a bit funnier than this one, but it was enjoyable non-less.
