I am enjoying this immensely, I didn't know much about this King of Persia but the novel style of writing has made it a pleasure to learn about him. I picked it up at the library never having seen this author before but being interested in all history I thought I would learn about something different and I certainly have.

Cyrus has adventure, danger, love, loyalty, murder and the exoticness of a different culture. What more could a reader require?

A great story about an amazing king.



I was given this book in error. They told me keep it or give it to someone instead of sending it back. I decided to read it though it wasn't really something I would normally read, but surprisingly I really enjoyed it. Love, wars, dedication and adventure keep me turning page after page. I would recommend this book to all.

surprisingly i really liked this book. i couldnt put it down. and when i did put it down i couldnt stop thinking about it. it was really good. i never thought history can be written in such an intriging way. i never thought i would finish it. and thanks to alexander jovy i can't wait to get my hands on a book like this one. amazing.

I started reading this book thinking it was an actual biography of Cyrus. I'm not sure how I didn't figure it wasn't as I'm usually pretty diligent in getting the details of what I'm about to read. However, I think I was so happy to have stumbled across such a recently written book about Cyrus with such a cool book cover (;)) that I just blindly dove in. As I was reading the first few chapters I was thinking 'Man, this author sure is trying to make this history book read like a
